I chose the graphic representing my Rehearsals and Exercises Blog category, Deeper Down the Path, because the dial on this image of an odometer shows us where we are headed. We will be playing simple exercises, including my BASIC SEQUENTIAL EXERCISES, at speeds of up to 200 bpm. That’s movement as fast as a hummingbird’s wings.
My articles in the Deeper Down the Path category will explore the Optimum Playing Speed (OPS), Speed Seesaw method, and Two Up & One Down method. Picking up where my Quick Start videos left off, I will expand on ideas from my book Rehearsals and Exercises: A Method for Playing Speed Guitar. Think of my Deeper Down the Path category as our path to the second edition of my book. With unlimited lifetime access at PATH2FAST.com, you get the information before anyone else.
I chose the picture of this future virtuoso because she will grow into this guitar and shred with the help of the twin daughters, Patience and Persistence, and my Exercise Wellspring category! Using the methods in my book Rehearsal and Exercises: A Method for Playing Speed Guitar, she will practice for 20 minutes daily and will soon be ripping my BASIC SEQUENTIAL EXERCISES at neo-classical speeds.

My Exercise Wellspring articles will be a seemingly unending source of exercises for travelers on the path to fast. As my PATH2FAST shirt says, “So many exercises. So little time.” In my Exercise Wellspring, I guide you to excellent exercises from books, videos, music instructors, and more.

Many inspirational sources PAVED the way for my Rehearsals and Exercises method. Many music instructors POINTED me towards my revolutionary practice method, which includes my Two Up & One Down method and custom Speed Seesaw Metronome. That’s why I chose the picture of a yellow arrow on the pavement pointing the way for my Road to the Path category.
My Rehearsals and Exercises Blog category, The Road to the Path, will introduce music instructors and their methods, which inspired my book Rehearsals and Exercises: A Method for Playing Speed Guitar. I will take you back to Troy Stetina’s Mechanics of Metal, a booklet I think he stapled together in his garage in the 1980s, and more.
The race track image for my The Path Widens category is wide. But unlike most race tracks, my path to fast will not leave you driving in circles. For over two years, I have been practicing most days of the week using my Rehearsals and Exercises method and have made several modifications. I have added new categories of simple exercises. I have discovered some speed hacks. In The Path Widens category, you get early access to all the material I am developing for the 2nd Edition of my book Rehearsal and Exercises: A Method for Playing Speed Guitar. Watch my Rehearsals and Exercises Blog for more.
The piano image for my History of Neo-classical Guitar category reminds us that much of speed guitar or shredding is rooted in classical music. Using Wikipedia, I will introduce legendary classical composers and modern-day guitar shredders and their music. Sometimes, to move forward on our path to fast, we first need to look back.
Heading off road? My Rehearsals and Exercises Blog category, Off-Road takes you to new roads. The sky is the limit.
